Kansas Agribusiness Retailers Association elects Kevin Dieckmann as chairman

Kansas Agribusiness Retailers Association’s 20-plus member board of directors selected Kevin Dieckmann of BRANDT to serve a two-year term as chairman through August of 2025 during the association’s annual meeting held on August 22, 2023 in Manhattan, Kan.

“I am honored our membership has selected me to serve as the leader of our association,” Dieckmann said. “It’s humbling to have the opportunity to help our staff guide the Kansas Agribusiness Retailers Association toward continued success of experiencing agribusiness thrive in the state of Kansas.”

Dieckmann is the 56th industry leader since 1960 to be picked into KARA’s pinnacle role after serving as a devoted volunteer-leader within the association for more than 25 years.

“Kevin Dieckmann has been, and continues to be, a valuable asset to advancing our association,” KARA president and CEO Ron Seeber said. “We are excited to embrace Kevin’s guidance and thoughtful insight as we continue to evolve our association to enhance our value to our membership.”

KARA members also picked an officer succession consisting of vice chairman, Scott Morris of ProValue Insurance and second vice chairwoman Jami Loecker of Syngenta. Other members elected to new, or renewed, terms on the board of directors were: Aaron Anderson (APEX Ag, Inc.), Gary Beachner (Beachner Grain), Jeff Holling (Central Valley Ag), Brian Laverentz (FMC), Warren Mayberry (Corteva), Jackie Mundt (Kanza Coop), Justin Ochs (SW Freedom Ag, Inc.) and Dave Tierney (Bayer).

Following the annual business meeting, nearly 60 KARA members raised almost $2,000 for the association’s scholarship fund before enjoying networking and golf amid the 100-plus degree temperatures in eastern Kansas.
