28 Aug Kansas Agri Business Council PAC Endorses Ty Masterson for Kansas Governor
The Kansas Agri Business Council Political Action Committee has endorsed Senate President Ty Masterson for Governor of Kansas following a meeting of the PAC’s board to determine candidate support.
The Kansas Agri Business Council PAC is jointly controlled by the Kansas Agribusiness Retailers Association (KARA) and Kansas Grain and Feed Association (KGFA), in partnership with the Kansas Cooperative Council (KCC). KARA and KGFA are the state’s two largest agribusiness trade associations, representing businesses across Kansas’ agricultural industry.
“Ty Masterson understands agriculture and the vital role it plays in Kansas,” said Ron Seeber, president and CEO of KARA and KGFA. “He also understands the challenges facing the businesses and producers who keep Kansas agriculture moving, from taxes and regulation to water, infrastructure and workforce.”
Masterson has served in the Kansas Legislature since 2004 and has served as President of the Kansas Senate since 2021. During his time in the Legislature, he has worked with Kansas agribusiness organizations on issues affecting the industry and the state’s business climate.
“We’ve worked with Ty for many years, and we know where he stands on issues important to Kansas agriculture,” Seeber said. “He understands the Legislature, understands rural Kansas and understands what it takes to keep our state’s agricultural economy strong.”
The PAC board’s endorsement reflects its confidence in Masterson’s experience and leadership as he seeks to become the state’s next governor.
“We’re proud to support Ty Masterson for governor,” Seeber said. “We believe he is the right person to lead Kansas, and we look forward to working with him to strengthen agriculture and the businesses and communities it supports.”
