13 Aug KARA Hosts 2026 Annual Meeting in Hutchinson
The Kansas Agribusiness Retailers Association (KARA) held its 2026 Annual Meeting on August 5 in Hutchinson, bringing members together to conduct association business and look ahead to the coming year.
Chairman Scott Morris called the meeting to order and declared a quorum. Members approved the 2026 slate of candidates for the KARA Board of Directors, including five members returning to the board and three new nominees.
**Re-elected to the KARA Board of Directors:**
* Aaron Anderson, APEX Ag, Inc.
* Jeff Holling, Central Valley Ag
* Brian Laverentz, FMC
* Jackie Mundt, Kanza Cooperative
* Justin Ochs, SW Freedom Ag
**Newly elected to the KARA Board of Directors:**
* Seth Born, Beachner Grain
* Boone McAfee, Bayer
* Rick Vrbas, BASF
KARA President and CEO Ron Seeber provided an overview of the association’s membership, programs and activities, along with a financial report. The meeting also included a report from Chairman Morris on KARA’s activities during 2025, including member services, the association expo and other programs.
KARA extends its appreciation to its members, sponsors and volunteer leaders for their continued support of the association and the agribusiness retail industry in Kansas.
The annual meeting was adjourned at 8:44 a.m., while members enjoyed golf at Crazy Horse Golf Course after the official business was conducted.
