Dr. Raymond Cloyd

Dr. Raymond A. Cloyd has an extension and research appointment at KSU.  His research and extension program involved pest management/plant protection in greenhouses, nurseries, landscapes, turfgrass, conservatories, interiorscapes, Christmas trees, and vegetables and fruits.  Dr. Cloyd is an extension specialist in horticultural entomology for the state of Kansas with a major clientele that includes homeowners, master gardeners, and professional and commercial operators.  He has a Ph.D. in Entomology from Purdue University.

Topic: Factors that Impact the Effectiveness of Pesticides to Manage Insect and Mite Pest Populations

Katie Strathman

Katie Strathman is the Technical Service Representative in eastern and central Kansas for BASF. Prior to her current role, Katie worked for BASF at the BASF Midwest research farm in Seymour, IL where she oversaw the technical marketing research trials. Katie holds two degrees: a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy-Farm Business Management with a minor in entomology and a Master of Science in Agronomy-Crop Production & Physiology, both from Iowa State University. Having grown up on a corn and soybean farm in northwest Iowa, Katie has roots in agriculture. She currently resides in northeast Kansas where, when her schedule permits, she is also a stand-in farmhand for her husband and his family.

Dr. Deepak Joshi

Dr. Joshi is an Assistant Professor and Extension Specialist in Precision Agriculture in the Department of Agronomy at Kansas State University, PhD South Dakota State University. His extension and applied research focus on precision agriculture and on-farm decision-making, leveraging a variety of sensor-based technologies, including drones, satellites, ground sensors, and open-access datasets.

Dr. Jeff Whitworth

Dr. Whitworth is a professor and Extension specialist for KSU Entomology. He has 40+ years of experience in identifying and managing insect pests.

Dr. Sarah Lancaster

Sarah Lancaster, PhD is an Assistant Professor and Extension Specialist at the KSU Agronomy Department. She was raised on an integrated crop and livestock farm in east central Missouri and holds degrees from the University of Missouri, North Carolina State University, and Texas A&M University.
