Tom Tunnell, Kansas Agribusiness Retailers Association’s (KARA) president and CEO, was awarded CropLife America’s (CLA) 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award at its annual meeting in Dana Point, California, on Sept. 28.
Tunnell, who has been at the helm of KARA since 1984, was one of three recipients of the 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award, presented to those serving in the agriculture community who have shown exemplary service to the industry and ally partnership with CLA.
“I am pleased and honored to receive this award,” Tunnell said. “It has been a pleasure to have worked my career in agribusiness. I have appreciated and enjoyed the relationship with Jay Vroom and the CropLife America staff.”
The Lifetime Achievement Award historically honors members of the industry who are recognized in their retirement for their steadfast dedication to agribusiness. CLA, established in 1933, represents the developers, manufacturers, formulators and distributors of plant science solutions for agriculture and pest management in the United States.
“CLA is proud to honor these winners for their expertise and leadership in guiding our vision of advancing the industry and defending crop protection technology,” said Jay Vroom, president and CEO of CLA.
