Kansas Certified Crop Advisors (CCA) named Winfield United a Land O’ Lakes Company’s Heath Peterson to its board Thursday afternoon. Peterson, who brings more than 20 years of crop advising experience to the program, will begin his board term in 2018.
“Being selected as a member of the board is an honor I am looking forward to,” Peterson said. “Serving on the board is a terrific opportunity to help guide the program into the future.”
A sales manager in Kansas for Winfield United Seed DSM’s and Master Agronomy Advisors, Peterson’s two decades of experience advising the industry have helped producers meet their goals, while training the next generation of sellers to do the same.
As a board member, Peterson will help Kansas’ CCA strive for a prominent leadership role in promoting existing best practices of sustainability and implementing those practices in the state.
“I have been a CCA for over 20 years and my hope is that with every passing year the CCA’s of Kansas will continue to be looked upon as the leaders in employing agronomically sustainable farming practices,” Peterson said.
A graduate of Kansas State University, Peterson and his wife of 24 years, Kari, have eight children. In his spare time, Peterson serves as secretary on the Manhattan Christian Homes In Educational Fellowship Board and enjoys outdoor activities, reading a good book or watching movies.
